Cultivating Futures – Pedagogical Vegetable Gardens
Are you an enthusiastic teacher looking to spread seeds of change in education?
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the environment?
So, this course is for you!
💚
Why this course is perfect for you?
Our “Pedagogical Vegetable Gardens” course gives you all the knowledge you need to start a pedagogical garden from scratch at your school, whether you have an outdoor space or just a windowsill. It’s not just about growing food but also connecting with nature and relieving the mind of everyday stress. Our mission is simple: empowering educators like you to impact students’ lives and our world positively.
Our trainings are practical, fun and with an excellent atmosphere of friendship and kindness!
What can you expect from this course?
You can expect a hands-on course where you will learn by doing and gain all the practical knowledge needed to create and use a permaculture organic school vegetable garden. We will inspire you to use it as an open learning lab – a pedagogical, dynamic, participatory, and multidisciplinary resource.
During our course we will:
– Visit inspiring schools and support them in developing their vegetable gardens, especially in underprivileged areas. Together, we will plant seeds of change and create social impact through our training.
– Learn outdoors at the Pedagogical Farm of Olivais.
– Learn outdoors in the pedagogical teacher-training garden at our office.
– Enjoy a cultural tour in Belém to explore the main tourist attractions and try the famous Pastéis de Belém.
– Share a final picnic together 😊
We believe the future depends on what we cultivate today!
